SURFACE TYPES
Very good adhesion to most building materials, without priming, e.g. concrete, stone, terrazzo, fiber-cement, plaster, screeds, building ceramics, varnished or impregnated wood, MDF, HDF, cork, plywood, particle board, enameled steel, stainless steel, aluminum, zinc, copper, lead, glazed tiles, terracotta, stoneware, glass, fused glass, sanitary ceramics, porcelain, PVC, PU, HPL and similar plastics.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The substrate must be clean and degreased. An adhesion test is recommended before use on plastic substrates or paint coatings. For joints with highly porous or highly absorbent surfaces, use Bostik Universal Primer T300. After priming, wait min. 15 minutes (max. 4 h) before applying the compound. The concrete must be fully cured and seasoned. The edges of the joint can be secured with masking tape to avoid dirt. The tape should be torn off as soon as the mass is applied and the surface is profiled. Use Bostik Finishing Soap T500 to smooth the grout surface. The grout should be shaped to allow water to run freely over it.
USE
When using the product as an adhesive, apply parallel vertical strips at small intervals (5-15 cm - depending on the size of the elements to be glued), min. 5 cm from the edges of the glued elements. Do not apply pointwise. Join the glued surfaces. Support heavy elements or otherwise protect them from displacement until the initial hardening. For this purpose, you can use double-sided adhesive tape with a thickness of 3 mm, which will additionally provide ventilation between the glued surfaces. When using the product as a sealant, apply the mass slowly, from the bottom up, carefully filling the entire cross-section of the gap, so as not to close the air in it. Profile the surface of the mass with a spatula and smooth it within 30 minutes after application. The rate of curing of the product depends on the ambient temperature and humidity. As the temperature and humidity level increases, the polymerization process is faster. In addition, the curing time depends on the cross section of the joint. Ensure effective ventilation until the grout is fully cured.
WELD SIZES
Joints should be designed taking into account the required degree of displacement and the ability of the joint filling compound to transmit these deformations. The depth of the joint should always be in an appropriate ratio to its width. For joint widths up to 10 mm, this ratio should be 1:1 (the minimum width and depth of the joint is 5 mm). For joints wider than 10 mm, depth [mm] = (width[mm] / 3) + 6 mm.
TOOLS
Handgun or air gun
USE
100 ml / 1 mb of grout with a cross section of 10 mm x 10 mm = 100 mm2. Multiplying the width of the grout (mm) by the depth of the grout (mm), we get the number of milliliters / 1 mb.
CLEANING
Fresh dirt can be removed with Bostik Universal Cleaner T100. Cured material can only be removed mechanically. For hand cleaning, use special Bostik Cleaning Wipes T150.
NOTES
Read the information on the label and product safety data sheet. Do not apply to areas permanently immersed in water, swimming pools with chlorinated water, to PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, neoprene, mirrors, aquariums, bituminous surfaces, EPDM, natural rubbers, natural stone and so-called soft plastics (emitted oils, plasticizers or solvents may degrade the joint). With materials of unknown type, conglomerates, plastics, laminates, lacquer coatings, powder coatings or impregnated surfaces, conduct an adhesion test in an inconspicuous area and assess the suitability of the product for the intended application. Avoid exposure to high concentrations of chlorine. Do not apply at high temperature fluctuations (displacement during mass setting). Always apply the adhesive in strips, maintaining the spacing, ensuring effective ventilation. Otherwise, the adhesive will cure only on the periphery, and will remain uncured inside, which may reduce the strength of the joint and contribute to discoloration of sensitive or susceptible substrates. The product is characterized by extremely high stability in terms of UV exposure. However, where possible, for exterior sealing, it is recommended that the product be used under a canopy or in conditions that will ensure limited direct UV exposure. In case of prolonged or excessive exposure to UV radiation, chemical loads, the sealant may change color and gradually lose mechanical resistance. Do not apply to painted glass, window glazing, structural glazing, sanitary seals (in areas exposed to constant water) and structural joints (load bearing joints). Do not paint. If in doubt, always test and evaluate the suitability of the product for the intended use before application.
SHELF LIFE
15 months from the date of manufacture. Store in original closed packaging, in a dry and cool place, at a temperature of +5°C to +25°C. Resistant in transport up to -15°C.
